I am a Psychotherapist with over 30 years’ experience working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, specializing in Autism.
My training includes, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy - The Tavistock Clinic; autism assessment and diagnosis - NAS Lorna Wing Centre and University College London; the ADOS training with Dr Fiona Scott.
I provide Autism diagnostic assessments across the age range. I offer support for individuals, parents, couples and families with a range of emotional, behavioural, communication and relationship issues.
I have participated in developing an NHS Autism diagnostic pathway in Hertfordshire and have close connections with the Communications Disorders Team, Specialist Advisory Teachers, Speech and language services, CAMHS and Education Services.
I received a diagnosis of autism as an adult, which has helped me personally, and has deepened my understanding of autism within my professional practice.
I am a member of The Association of Child Psychotherapists
I maintain the highest professional and ethical standards in line with the ACP code of ethics and professional conduct.
I am trained and licensed to administer the following child and adult assessment tools:
My assessments are compliant with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines
I regularly attend professional development workshops and conferences.
I have regular supervision.
I am DBS checked.
